Dear Pasar Kakis, we have just unfortunately found out that our Pineapple Tarts were erroneously produced with Margarine, instead of the SCS Butter that we sampled and paid for.

We initially put the difference down to the goodies being handmade and thus having slight variations.

However, after multiple customer feedback, we sampled the Pineapple Tarts across different batches and indeed agree that it's a lesser product and is not what we wanted to sell.

While our supplier is not taking responsibility for this, we cannot consciously continue to sell them at full price as they do not stand for the superior quality that Quan Shui Wet Market pride ourselves in.

Even though these are still acceptable to eat, we will be pricing them down to $19.90 instead as they were not made with high quality SCS butter.

For customers who bought these prior to this announcement and thus could have been misled, we will be sure to follow up with each of you and offer a resolution to this.

As we do not expect these to sell out as originally forecasted, we will not let them go to waste and will donate these Pineapple Tarts to the less fortunate so that they may still get to enjoy some CNY treats this festive season.

On our end, we will be sure to follow up with our supplier to find out what went wrong and will do better due diligence before working with them again.
