Part of our refreshed Quan Shui Handmade Dim Sum range, our Truffle Shiitake Mushroom Bao is a vegetarian creation inspired by the rich, earthy flavours and distinctive appearance of shiitake mushrooms.
Beneath the soft bao skin lies a savoury filling made with Japanese Shiitake Mushrooms and aromatic Truffle Oil, bringing together deep mushroom flavours and a delightful truffle fragrance in every bite.
And the mushroom-like appearance isn't just for show! As each bao expands during preparation, the outer coating naturally forms delicate cracks and wavy brown-and-black patterns resembling a real shiitake mushroom. No two baos look exactly alike!
Earthy, fragrant and fun to look at, it's a wonderful meat-free addition to your dim sum spread.
Serving Suggestions:
Enjoy them on their own for breakfast or afternoon tea, or serve alongside other Quan Shui Handmade Dim Sum favourites. Pair with a warm cup of Chinese tea for a comforting treat.
Cooking Instructions:

From frozen, portion out the number of baos required.

Defrost for approximately 30 minutes.

Lightly sprinkle the baos with water before steaming to moisten the skin.

Once the water is boiling, steam for approximately 10 minutes.

Serve warm and enjoy!
Storage Guide:
Keep frozen. Once opened, reseal in a freezer-safe container. After thawing, heat and consume immediately. Can be kept frozen for up to 1 year from production date. Refer to packaging for expiry date.
